**Role Summary**

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day duties of our road maintenance contract. This is a permanent full-time position and a great opportunity for experienced workers to contribute and expand their knowledge along with those who wish to learn. **Responsibilities**
- Maintenance of public roads - vegetation management on roadsides as per client specifications.
- Snow service maintenance on public roads as required - snow plow, salting, brining, sanding.
- Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles and/or trailers.
- Operate small equipment - weed eater, blower, etc.
- Completing daily logs with accuracy and detail where required.
- Adheres to all safety precautions including driving company vehicles in a safe and defensive manner.

**Skills and Abilities**
- Detailed oriented and excellent organization skills.
- Service oriented and self motivated.
- Ability to work in a variety of outside conditions.
- Follows written and verbal instructions from supervisor.
- Fit to work - Lifts 50 pounds and handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, lifting, pulling and climbing.
- Communicates effectively - verbal and written.
- Works well independently and within a team environment.
- Be punctual and have an excellent attendance record in previous jobs.
- Able to work a flexible shift schedule as necessary.

**Education and Experience**
- Safety knowledge and experience conducting road maintenance.
- Traffic control experience an asset.
- Snow removal on public roads required.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and a clean driving record and ability to drive in the Province of BC.

**Salary**: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
