Are you looking for a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment? We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work as a Vice-Principal at As-Sadiq Islamic School.

Our school has heavily invested in technology to create a 21stCentury learning environment to augment the core competencies such as: collaboration, digital literacy, critical thinking and problem solving, in order for our students to thrive in today’s world. We have a strong physical education program and are home to competitive sport teams that participate in local tournaments. We have established amazing partnerships with other faith based schools from the Catholic and Jewish traditions which we need to continue for our children to grow and become formidable global citizens. We have strong science, language and math programs built on ensuring consistency and growth as a child progresses at the school.

We are currently looking for a Vice-Principal to become part of the leadership for this fine community of faith and build upon its rich heritage taking OASIS to the next level.

**CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Possess an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certificate or equivalent and be in good standing with the college.

a. the instruction and the discipline of pupils in the school

b. the organization and management of the school

c. mentorship and support of staff.

4. Have at least 7 years of teaching experience in a Canadian school which follows a provincial

curriculum.

5. Have knowledge and experience with the Ontario Ministry of Education regulations and protocols.

6. Awareness of the high school inspection process and being willing to meet the expectations set out by the Ontario Ministry of Education to grant credits towards an Ontario Secondary School Diploma will be an asset.

7. Be fluent in English and possess excellent communication skills.

8. Have excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills.

9. Have a warm, nurturing demeanor and a positive, optimistic attitude.

10. Have excellent leadership skills.

11. Have an inclusive, respectful mindset to lead a diverse community of faith.

12. Have a current Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) by local police.

**Salary**: From $90,000.00 per year
