**MATERIALS SUPERVISOR**
**AJAX, ON - PLANT**

As a member of the materials team, the Materials Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the receiving process for all production/non-production materials within Lear, Ajax. They will plan, schedule, and direct all the shipping and receiving activities for the facility in a timely and accurate manner. Supervise the activities of the shipping and receiving material handlers to ensure the daily work schedule is attained within the prescribed budget and in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. Within the limits of authorized company policies, programs, procedures, budgets, laws and business ethics, the Supervisor coordinates and controls the activities, plans, and programs of the functions and the personnel under their direction

**The Role**:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:

- Supervision of hourly employees within the materials department.
- Stages trucks for unloading, verifies count of parts coming off trucks. Receives and delivers non-production and production parts.
- Answers radio calls for production parts.
- Logs goods received on Daily Receiving Report.
- Monitors production lines to ensure stock levels and housekeeping are maintained.
- Communicates with drivers regarding delivery issues.
- Ensures drivers maintain equipment.
- Delivers safety talk to drivers monthly.
- Completes paperwork for outbound shipments, shift reports, and daily receiving logs.
- Ensures cardboard is moved to cardboard bailer.
- Walks the line at the end of shift to ensure plant is ready for next shift.
- Arranges for removal/replacement of trailers, removal of waste, cardboard, etc.
- On the night shift, check the status of parts and help expedite them when necessary.
- Must comply with Company, Environmental and TS policies/programs and foster continuous improvement.
- Reviews current policies and practices and makes recommendations for changes if appropriate.
- Ensures compliance with the following legislation: OHSA, WSIB, Human Rights, Employment Standards, and Labour Relations.
- Uses and or wears personal protective equipment that the company requires to be used or worn.
- Performs any other duties as required in pursuance to the function of this position or as directed.
- Works safely, reporting hazards and unsafe conditions, and takes all reasonable measures to protect themselves, co-workers and direct reports.
- Recognizing and understanding the requirements of our internal and external customers and is dedicated to establishing the highest industry standards for quality, value, service & technology.
- Ensures and understands compliance with harassment within the workplace towards others in the organization.
- All air bag loads are received in the Stellantis EOP Lite system.
- Airbags are counted nightly and the counts are entered into the Stellantis EOP Lite system.
- Ensure all receiving of airbag shipments is done with the bind receiving function.

**Your Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma
- Must have an understanding of lean manufacturing practices and principles and be able to affect change in an operations environment
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Planning and Organization skills.
- Time Management and Prioritization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be available to work scheduled overtime
- Must be able to work alternate shift pattern.

**Bonus If You Have**:

- Post-Secondary Education or Experiential Equivalency
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field is preferred.
- 3 years’ experience in Shipping/Receiving or Warehouse functions preferably within the manufacturing/ automotive industry.
