Reporting to the Site Foreman, the Flowline Labourer will assist our pipeline and facility construction teams, prioritizing safety above all else. The Flowline Labourer will be working on a 5/2 rotation, although the schedule may vary based on client location and project needs. Project sites span across Southwest Manitoba and Southeast Saskatchewan, with the position anchored at our 3DI hub in Elkhorn, Manitoba.
**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**:
- Participate in daily tailgate meetings and perform pre-trip vehicle inspections, FLHA’s, JSA’s and tool inspections as required
- Perform heavy lifts of up to 50 lbs and navigate construction job site terrain
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers both manually and with the use of equipment
- Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly
- Collect and remove all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis
- Assist heavy equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in safely moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities
- Operate light-duty vehicles and equipment such as pickup trucks with trailers, backhoes, and skidsteers as needed
- Provide labour support to other workers as needed or as assigned by supervisors
**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:
- 2+ years’ experience working in the construction industry
- Previous flowline experience will be considered an asset
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including standing for long periods of time, heavy lifting, and working in all types of weather
- Ensure safety is a top priority at all times
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to self-start and take initiative on tasks
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Must hold a valid class 5 driver’s license
- A valid Class 3 License will be considered an asset and is preferred
- Valid training certification in Enform H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance Level II, Standard First Aid “C” and CPR, Common Safety Orientation will be considered an asset
