The Glengarry Inter-Agency Group (GIAG) is looking for an energetic and dynamic individual to fill an Enhanced Support Educator position in the **before and after school** - TLC Program (The Learning Centre) at Laggan Public School **working split shifts**. **Please note - COVID Vaccinations are NOT required for this position.**

The enhanced support staff is a temporary additional support to the program and therefore is not to be included as part of the ratio. Enhanced support staff are not for one-on-one support for a child. The role of the enhanced support staff is to assist the educators in all aspects of the program to support the inclusion of all children in the program.
- Ideally the enhanced support staff should be an RECE. However, if we are unable to hire an RECE in this capacity, we may hire someone with related education or at minimum, someone who has previous experience working in childcare or early years programs._

**SPLIT shifts are Mon-Fri 7:30am-9:30am & 3:30pm-5:30pm**

**Must Haves**
- Valid CPR & First Aid, level C
- Current health assessment, including TB test and up-to-date record of immunizations
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check

**What you will be doing**
- Will be in contact with other TLC staff, parents, children, caregivers and community partners
- Supervise children in program, ensuring that a stimulating program is planned and implemented and that the program is designed to promote belonging, well-being, engagement, and expression by using the ‘’How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years’’
- May supervise High school Co-op placements, summer students, or volunteers

**What you bring to the team**
- Experience working with young children in a group environment
- Knowledge of community resources
- Fluent in English (oral & written)
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)
- Quick problem solving and decision-making skills

**Site**: Laggan Public School (TLC Before & After School Program)

**Start Date**: Feb 1, 2023

**Wages**: $18/hr
- This position is dependent upon funding from the City of Cornwall, Inclusion Services program._
