Veterinary Receptionist

We are looking for a new addition to our team

We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible for a permanent full-time position as a Veterinary Receptionist. Our current clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm. on Saturdays from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm and the availability to work Saturdays is required for this opportunity.

Ideally, we are looking for an individual with Veterinary industry experience but we also welcome those with reception, customer service, and office administration experience to apply. A genuine love of animals and working in a compassionate animal care environment is a necessity.

- Maintains a positive and cooperative relationship with other employees
- Can display tact and diplomacy with staff members and clients
- Has great computer skills and shows accuracy in inputting details
- The job description:

- Answers client’s inquiries about hospital policies and the cost of routine procedures and products
- Maintains the appearance of the front office through cleaning and organization
- Answers telephones, using a multi-line system and handles calls efficiently in a professional and friendly manner
- Greets clients, enters or updates client and pet information into the practice computer system
- Outline costs and fees in a positive light while supporting hospital payment policies
- Prepare client invoices and obtain payments for services performed
- Experience with Avimark is a must
- A minimum of three years expercience in a similar role is an Asset
