**Position: Accounting Clerk**

**Location**: Concord / Hybrid - 2/3 days in office

**Reporting To**: Financial Controller

FunctionAbility is one of Ontario's leading providers of multidisciplinary rehabilitation services. We provide expert assessment and treatment services province wide to people who suffered traumatic and acquired neurological injuries and severe orthopedic injuries. **Responsibilities**:
**Transaction Processing**
- Maintains and updates financial business transactions by entering data in QuickBooks (disbursement, expense reports, accounts payables, credit cards)
- Monthly credit card reconciliations
- Assist in preparing closing entries for month and year end
- Monthly therapist payment processing (payroll and vendor payments)
- Prepare deposits of inbound cheques
- Prepare timely statutory remittances (HST, EHT, WSIB etc.)

**Account Reconciliations**
- Monthly reconciliations of bank, prepaids, credit cards and other general ledger accounts

**Support for Accounts Receivable**
- Monitor and follow-up with insurance companies regarding unpaid invoices

**Other**
- Participate in continuous improvement projects
- Support CFO and Financial Controller through annual financial statement audit
- Attend team meetings (in person and remotely as required)
- Maintain proper filing system
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- 1 - 2 years previous general accounting/bookkeeping experience or diploma
- Experience in accounts payable and payment processing
- Demonstrated experience handling large volumes of transactions
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet important deadlines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook especially)
- Previous experience with Quickbooks is an asset
