Utilities Labourer-hydro Substations

This role will involve hands-on work in the construction of Hydro Substations, Battery Energy Storage stations, and renewable energy infrastructure. Below are the key details of the role:
Position Details
- Title: Utilities Labourer
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Work Location: Various project sites across Ontario (based on assignments).
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
- Benefits: Full benefits package including health, pension, and vacation pay.
- Vehicle: A company vehicle will be provided for work-related transportation to job sites.
- Gas Card: A gas card will be provided to cover fuel expenses for company vehicles.
- Parking: Covered or reimbursed parking at job sites as applicable.
Job Responsibilities
- Hydro Substations & Energy Infrastructure:
◦Perform physical labor duties related to the construction and installation of Hydro Substations and renewable energy infrastructure such as Battery Energy Storage systems and EV charging stations.
◦Assist with setting up foundations, conduit installations, grounding systems, and structure placements.
- Heavy Equipment Operation:
◦Safely operate heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, skid steers, and other machinery as required by the project.
◦Conduct daily equipment inspections and ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of all machinery.
- Physical Labor & Site Safety:
◦Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging, lifting, carrying materials, and preparing job sites.
◦Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience working in Landcaping, utilities infrastructure, renewable energy, or related sectors is preferred.
- Equipment Operation: Must be able to safely operate heavy equipment and have relevant certifications (e.g., skid steer, excavator).
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Safety Certifications: Current certifications such as Working at Heights, WHMIS, and First Aid/CPR are required. Must have valid G class drivers license or better.
Additional Information
- Work Hours: 45-50 hours per week
- Start Date: November 2024.

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour

**Education**:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
