**Job Description**:
Under the supervision of the department manager, the electrotechnician will be responsible for taking charge of assembly tasks that are carried out under voltage, and for carrying out all the tests performed on the various products. The electrotechnician's experience and expertise will make him a technical expert within the team, and he will act as a reference for his colleagues. He will also be called upon to contribute to the accomplishment of certain tasks for new products where in-depth electrical knowledge is generally required.
Role and responsibilities
- Interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine optimum wiring arrangements.
- Install cables through designated paths according to technical drawings.
- Use test instruments to verify circuit continuity, ensuring system safety and compatibility after installation, replacement or repair.
- Diagnose and identify faults in electrical and electronic systems, replacing defective components where necessary.
- Take charge of all tests carried out on the various products.
- Take charge of all assembly tasks carried out under power.
- Support cable assemblers as a technical reference for a designated product
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- DEP in electricity or Quebec equivalent
- Relevant experience required (5 years minimum)
- Ability to read electrical plans required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, 50 times per day
