Headquartered in Lunenburg, NS, and with a site in Mirabel, QC, we operate more than 150,000 sq feet of facilities dedicated to operations, manufacturing and administration.The Receiving Inspector is responsible for ensuring purchased materials meet Customer’s drawing(s)/specification(s) and internal requirements utilizing approved inspection test plans.
Reporting to the **Quality Control** Manager** **and working in a diverse team,** in this role you will**:
- Conduct inspections on purchased product to determine product conformity and record inspection results as well as identify and control non-conforming product(s).
- Use standard metrology equipment (i.e. calipers, micrometers, and height gauges etc.)
- Read and understand engineering drawings, models, and specifications.
- Read, interpret, and adhere to quality procedures and technical documents.
- Complete inspection test plans and generate quality records.
- Support investigations to resolve quality issues identified internally or by the customer.
- Use the ERP system to electronically process inspections.
- Work with a team, share expertise, and follow instructions to accomplish established goals.
- Able to physically lift 50 lbs.
**You must have**:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- 2 years Quality Assurance/Quality Control inspection or related experience preferred.
- Post-secondary education in a technical field considered an asset.
- Experience with ISO standards and/or equivalent quality, military, or government standards considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 or related aerospace experience is considered an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft products (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills with co-workers, supervisors, and customers.
- Solution-oriented, self-motivated, with ability to multi-task and excellent organization skills.
