We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Developmental Service Worker with experience in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary:
The Developmental Service Worker will be responsible for providing direct support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, specifically those on the autism spectrum. This role involves implementing individualized support plans, utilizing ABA techniques, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote the independence and well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Implement and monitor individualized support plans based on ABA principles to address specific behavioral, social, and developmental goals.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
- Collect and record data on client progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions.
- Work closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to care.
- Participate in the development and review of individualized support plans and behavior intervention plans.
- Promote community integration and support clients in accessing community resources and activities.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or degree in Developmental Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or significant experience in ABA interventions.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
- Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of sensory integration techniques and interventions.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and best practices in developmental services.
- Experience in behavior management and implementing Safety and Behavioral Support Plans.

Working Conditions:

- Part-time position with a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Work primarily in client homes and in center settings.
