Outpost Camp Manager

Start/End date:

- May 2023 - October 2023;

**Requirements**:

- experience working at Outpost Camps and/or Lodges;
- valid driver's license;
- knowledge of float planes;
- knowledge of outboard motors and propane appliances;
- experience using a chainsaw

Duties include:

- responsible for overseeing and coordinating the smooth day-to-day operations;
- meet and greet customers;
- scheduling floatplane flights;
- organize arrival and departure activities at the dock;
- review outpost maintenance check list and inventory of propane and fuels at base and outpost camps;
- accompany pilot to outpost camps as needed;
- troubleshoot mechanical issues (heating, plumbing, electrical);
- ensure safety procedures are followed;
- general maintenance of yard and guest cabins at the Base;
- ensure quality Customer Service;
- supervise the activities and training of staff as required;
- manage staff schedules;
- prepare and conduct daily and/or weekly staff meetings;
- physically fit (manual labour required);
- other duties as required;

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal

**Salary**: $1,250.00 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Armstrong, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- outpost: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
