We are currently hiring to meet increased production goals:
**CNC Burn Table Operator**

This position is a **weekend shift**:

- Three twelve-hour shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,
- 2 hours per day shift premium (work 12 hours, get paid for 14)

- **The position responsibilities include**:_
- Assess the workspace and work required to ensure the work is performed in the safest manner possible,
- Identify and retrieve steel plate as required relative to type, thickness, and size based on engineering specifications,
- Retrieve engineering drawings off of the computer system to determine the appropriate burn method (plasma/gas).
- Set machine using CNC controller to burn the profile of parts as identified on engineering drawings.
- Clean rust and dirt off parts using a grinder and or slag remover.
- Layout and drill holes in parts based on engineering drawing specifications from time to time.
- Saw parts on CNC saw to engineering drawing specifications from time to time
- Participate in workplace improvement initiatives.

**- 3+ years previous experience using a burn table or similar equipment is required (Messer Burn table experience is an asset)**
- Perform minor programming adjustments, setup and nesting experience
- An ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- An ability to use hand tools such as grinders slag removers and measuring devices
- Formal education to a level consistent with SSGD with good math skills.
- Must successfully complete lift truck training and requalify every 18 months.
- Must successfully complete crane training course.
- An ability to perform some heavy lifting to move parts
