**Position Description**:
A full-time opportunity exists in Financial Services for an experienced Finance Systems Analyst with a comprehensive knowledge of Financial and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Reporting to the Manager of Payroll and Accounting, this role is responsible for the ongoing support, analysis, solutions delivery as well as project work for the implementation of new functionality in PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM) and Human Capital Management (HCM) focusing on Payroll.

**Accountabilities**:

- Perform functional maintenance of PeopleSoft Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Commitment Control, PO Work flow and the Payroll part of the HCM module, including maintenance of software configuration, testing upgrades, patches and fixes, and creating ad-hoc queries and reports
- Liaise with the Information Technology Team and other departments with respect to the ongoing maintenance of the FSCM and HCM
- Develop long term road map for system projects and enhancements
- Lead system enhancements and regular system upgrades through research, needs analysis, fit-gap analysis and all aspects of system testing; Develop testing materials and training materials as needed.
- Troubleshoot system issues for quick resolution in a production environment for both FSCM and HCM and maintain documentation for issues and solutions.
- Support the functional integration between key systems such as FSCM, HCM and the Maximo Work order system
- Develop and maintain training materials and provide user training sessions to support organization wide system needs
- Regularly review literature regarding PeopleSoft functionality through collaboration with PeopleSoft Global Support personnel, and other users or user groups
- Attend training, seminars and conferences as required
- Ensure effective communication with all customers and business partners by collaborating, providing advice and information as required
- Provide backup support for Payroll and Accounting as required
- Other duties as assigned

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Experience with systems transactional processes, architecture, configuration and upgrades
- Experience maintaining and configuring financial systems and processes including development and implementation of solutions to enhance efficiencies and building ad hoc reports and/or SQL
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced spread sheet skills as well as demonstrated understanding of detailed financial processes in a computerized environment (preferably PeopleSoft)
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills, as well as strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that allow you to interact effectively with staff and customers and other stakeholders
- Proven project management, business process design and organizational skills to manage competing and changing priorities
- Self-motivated, goal-orientated individual capable of working in a dynamic and challenging work environment, comfortable with making decisions in ambiguity
- Municipal government and service delivery experience would be considered an asset
- A proven team player with a focus on results and fostering partnerships with other divisions
- A satisfactory police criminal record and judicial matters check is required as a condition of hire

**Pay Band**:The pay band for this position is under review pending job evaluation. In the event the pay band moves down as a result of evaluation, the job incumbent will be red-circled at their current rate of pay until the pay band is in alignment with the job incumbent’s salary.
