- **The receptionist is the first contact point for patients and visitors to our clinic. They are to serve patients by greeting, welcoming and directing them appropriately. At all times the receptionist should command a professional, friendly and polite manner. The receptionist shall report to the Office Manager with any questions or concerns. As part of FreeFlo Physiotherapy's team the receptionist's role is to assist in the smooth and efficient running of the clinic, to adhere to protocols at all times in line with FreeFlo's strategy, goals and values.**_

**Receptionist Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Provide office support services in order to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the clinic.**
- Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquires.
- Answer all incoming calls and handle caller's inquiries whenever possible. Re-direct calls as appropriate and take adequate messages when required. Check messages and return calls promptly.
- Takes payments for services and products.
- Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation including WSIB and MVA.
- Ensure patient information is accurate and complete, including billing information.
- Obtain external medical diagnostic reports as required by therapists.
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Proof read therapists notes and letters before faxing.
- Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of Clinic Server software as applies to all aspects of billing, booking, rescheduling and charging appointments, posting payments, documenting memos.
- Make bank deposits and top up petty cash as required.
- Track cash and cheque payments.
- Performs all required clerical duties for patients with appointments during the receptionists work hours (ie. faxing, scanning, etc.)
- Order inventory as required.
- Assist therapists and other staff as required (ie. un-hooking IFC- machine and returning hot packs to hydracollator.)
- Promptly clean all rooms following each patients exit.

- Effective time management.

**HOURS OF WORK**

Monday-Friday (rotating weeks - days 7:30am-2:00pm, afternoons 12:30pm-7:00pm)

NO WEEKENDS All statutory holidays off

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Lakefield, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- DCS / DEC (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Administrative: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)
