**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Develop estimates and quotes, including takeoffs and pricing of engineering time.
- Conduct thorough reviews of the project drawings and documents and analyze customer requirements.
- Work with customers with respect to issues that may require clarification or elaboration.
- Prepare a summary of issues and participate in a detailed estimate review.
- Participate in the closing of the estimate and submission of the quote.
- Assist in the development of post quote submissions and follow up as required.
- Participate in project intake including scope definition and clarification, planning and delivery.
- Solicit pricing from subcontractors and suppliers and determine general expenses and provide input into margins/fees.
- Maintain databases with material pricing and project costs, for internal reference.
- Prepare conceptual estimates by interpreting historical data.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team of Managers, Engineers, and Technologists.

What we are looking for:

- Advanced ability to read and interpret construction related documents including plans, specifications, architectural and structural drawings and other technical material.
- 2+ years experience in the capacity of Estimator / Quantity Surveyor.
- Completion of PQS, CET or P.Eng designation.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with estimating techniques and estimating software programs.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with relevant programs such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Ability to grow and maintain positive relationships with project teams and customers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, strong math skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills.
- Sense of urgency, flexibility, and strong commitment to achieving goals.

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
- This is an in-office position. Employees become eligible for hybrid work after 1 year of employment, based on job performance.
