The **Darlington site **is looking for a results-driven and professional Civil Construction Superintendent to join the Construction team.

**SUMMARY OF ROLE****:
A team lead position in the Nuclear Industry supporting E. S. Fox Limited at the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station, directing Civil trades utilized in performing projects and maintenance work. This position will focus on significant strategic project initiatives in addition to standard civil project delivery.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensures field execution of projects adhere to safety requirements, scope, schedule and standards/procedures
- Attend and monitor pre-job briefings, safe work planning, daily site visits, post job debriefs and weekly tailboard meetings
- Manage the scheduling of civil project activities
- Ensure that all projects are constructed without deviation from quality standards
- Participate in construction kick-off meetings
- Communicate impacts and design deviations to Project Lead
- Responsible for Civil sub-contractors utilized at site
- Responsible to coordinate cross functional activities involving the trades at location
- Responsible for Civil safe work, and radiological ALARA plans
- Communicate and coordinate with Project Lead on any resource constraints
- Responsible for ensuring Civil trades follow S. Fox Limited and Ontario Power Generation processes and each EHS Policies
- Any other task assigned by the Construction Manager

- Maintain the required level of skill and competence with the construction activities

- Establishes and maintains high performance standards while fostering opportunities for improvement

**PERSON SPECIFICATIONS**

Knowledge and Education Requirements
- 5 -10 years of experience in project management and or execution
- 5 -10 years of experience in nuclear construction and operations deliverables
- Demonstrated work experience, working with diverse, multi-disciplined work groups
- Managing within collective agreements, ideally with the Electrical Power System Construction Association

**Specific Experience or Skills**
- Strong leadership skills, in leading/managing diverse multi-disciplined work groups
- Clear understanding of project management principles
- Overall knowledge of nuclear industry practices
- Understand and comply with all EHS policies
