The Freight Forwarder Manager will lead the company, ensuring smooth daily operations through effective team and performance management. This role is primarily responsible for overseeing freight forwarding activities, including:

- Handling and processing import/export documentation from vendors and customers.
- Confirming shipping terms with the Importer of Record.
- Coordinating with global offices and agents to ensure proper shipment documentation.
- Collaborating with customs brokers for customs and other government releases.
- Managing cargo delivery, invoicing, tracking, and receivables collection.
- Providing customers with pre-alerts and daily shipment status updates.
- Escalating issues beyond the scope of responsibility to higher authorities.
- Reporting cargo damages and preparing preliminary claims.
- Negotiating with carriers to secure the best freight rates and maintain service relationships.
- Working with stakeholders to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
- Adhering to customer shipping guidelines and specifications.
- Coordinating shipments and communicating booking details.
- Determining freight lane terms, confirming carriers, and verifying shipments.
- Tracking and updating accessorial and detention charges in the transportation management system.
- Participating in load tracking and tracing.
- Communicating with carriers to monitor freight movement and escalating issues with unresponsive carriers.
- Maintaining positive customer relations by updating their websites with load information.
- Ensuring error-free shipment completion as part of the team.
- Promptly collecting proof of delivery documentation for invoicing.
- Processing supplier invoices to create pre-alert packages for the Customs Broker.
- Classifying products with HS codes if missing, based on knowledge.
- Filing CERS within deadlines.
- Obtaining quotes for inbound and outbound courier, air, truck, and ocean shipments.
- Performing additional duties as needed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.55-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
