**About the Role**

This is a 16 months co-op term. As a member of our business intelligence team, you will be enabling the business by providing dashboards, at the organizational level, that will improve decision-making, streamline processes and sustain a level of future proofing. Collaboration with our enterprise customers ensures that our solutions are directly relevant to customer scenarios and is critical to our success.

**Primary Responsibilities**

We are looking for a BI analyst with data visualization skills who is passionate about business intelligence, comfortable working in an agile environment and embraces the opportunity to connect with customers to define and shape our solutions.

This role will report directly to the Manager of business intelligence and will partner with our technical and business analyst teams to develop operational and analytical dashboard in accordance with organizational priorities.

We will be looking for you to follow best practices/ standards and will have a broad range of responsibilities including:

- Designing, creating and supporting dashboard to provide quick access and use of required data.
- Designing, creating and supporting innovative and valuable visualizations.
- Creating and monitoring connections to the data warehouse for more centralized data access by the BI visualization tools.
- Performing debugging and validation testing.
- Creating and maintaining documentation.
- Other duties as required

**Required Capabilities**
- Can work well and integrate within a team environment.
- Experience with relational databases (primarily Microsoft SQL) preferred.
- Experience with data visualization techniques and tools - Power BI preferred.
- Experience with SSIS a plus.
- DevOps and knowledge of the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle)
- Strong troubleshooting/debugging and problem solving skills.
- Self-driven with the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
- Possess a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Agile/ Scrum) is desired.
- Able to think abstractly and break down projects into steps
- Strong leadership skills and ability to take initiative

**Desired Education and Experiences**
- Post-Secondary enrollment in the field of Computer Science/Engineering or Technology
- Experience with report development.
- Experience with visualization tools
