**Summary of responsibilities**:
The **Advisor, New Technology Introduction (NTI) Program **is responsible for delivering Pre-board Screening (PBS) and Hold-baggage Screening (HBS) new screening technology introduction projects and activities in support of CATSA’s operational and capital project plans. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating all deliverables and tasks related to the introduction, evaluation, certification, and operation of new screening technologies at airports across Canada. The Advisor, NTI Program performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
**What you need to succeed**
**To qualify for the position, you must have**:
- Graduated from a recognized college or university with a specialization in engineering, physics, chemistry, computer science, information technology or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in a technical environment with multiple technologies.
- A minimum of three years of experience troubleshooting equipment issues and conducting testing, including the design of tools, test protocols and evaluation of standards as well as writing test plans, reports and providing recommendations.
- A minimum of three years of experience writing test plans, reports and providing recommendations.
- Experience presenting to various audiences and producing reports for senior management.
- Experience coordinating projects and programs, as well as the work of cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in an operational environment.

**Valuable skills include**:
- Experience with new technology product introduction.
- Experience acting as lead or main point of contact for technical or certification testing.
- Experience working in a highly regulated technical environment.
- Knowledge of security screening technologies.
- Experience in project management in a technical field and scheduling; knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
- Project management certification.
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), ladder logic, airport screening equipment, and airport baggage handling systems.
- Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting the organization.
- Knowledge of networks, Centralized Equipment Networks and Central Image Processing systems.
