Architectural Technician

We’re looking for a motivated **full-time, permanent Architectural Technician **to join our team located in Exshaw, Alberta, completing innovative timber-framed structures and products. The main responsibilities are completing accurate working drawings on time including preparing plans and details, creating new models and elevations. Preparing design sketches for clients as needed.

**Main Activities**
- Collaborate with other drafters and client Architects to complete drafting projects
- Complete detailed technical drawings using Cadwork
- Incorporate changes and modifications to current drawings
- Examine concept/schematic drawings for conformity and errors
- Maintain accurate records of changes and modifications
- Provide support to the team as it relates to organizing, preparing, and reviewing documentation
- Reporting to senior and lead drafters
- Provide pre-construction support for material take-offs

**Experience & Qualifications**
- Diploma in Drafting Technology or Architectural Technology is an asset
- Strong skill and understanding of technical drafting software with tech-savvy skills
- 1-5 years of experience in construction is an asset
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to communicate well, problem solve and use critical thinking
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
