**What you’ll be doing**
- In collaboration with Project Managers and information collected at the scene of a disaster, you will be responsible for producing estimates representing the costs of restoring and repairing damage to buildings.
- Reviewing estimates or submissions to ensure a proper reflection of refurbishment methodologies, estimate appropriate costs, and meet On Side’s standards and policies.
- Occasionally, the role includes conducting on-the-road visits to disaster sites to determine the extent of the disaster, identify materials and measurements.
- Create detailed quotes of the post-disaster building repair.
- Analyze and issue quotes.
- Use Xactimate and XactAnalysis automated rating systems.
- Offer technical assistance to project managers on the different types of mandates and appropriate costs (emergency, asbestos removal, reconstruction, content).
- Participate in negotiations to secure reclamation cost agreements.
**What we’re looking for**
- Bilingual in speaking and writing English and French
- Certificate in Construction Estimation
- 5 years of experience in disaster estimation.
- Mastery of Xactimate estimation software.
- Technical and practical knowledge of disaster building restoration (CNB, IICRC).
- Planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Client service orientation.
