Inventory Analyst & Logistics Coordinator

Permanent, Full Time

**About the Job**:
Reporting to the Inventory Manager, Sheridan Nurseries is looking for a highly motivated Inventory Analyst & Logistics Coordinator to support our retail division.

**Your Accountabilities**:
**Inventory**:

- Oversees forecasting of products to the SKU level to ensure the right product is in the right store at the right time
- Utilizes various tools and systems (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Phoenix) to analyze current business performance and provide inventory recommendations by store
- Run weekly reports on vendor performance to ensure key items are always in stock, proactively replenishing items before inventory runs low
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to build strong relationships and strengthen communication between teams
- Assist Category Team in creating ad hoc reports and in-depth analysis on segments of the business to create insights that inform future allocation and inventory strategies
- Perform other business functions as needed by the Category Managers & Inventory Manager

**Logistics**:

- Working with Category Managers to monitor and manage the on-time shipping of import orders
- Manage communication with factories ensuring timely freight bookings and ensure sailing as per required ship dates
- Ensure all customs paperwork has been sent from factory to freight forwarder and Sheridan for customs release
- Manage factory payments

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- University or College degree in a related field of study, or equivalent work experience
- Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with Inventory Management Systems is preferred
- Strategic thinker who makes data-informed decisions and enjoys analyzing large sets of data to uncover a hidden story
- A natural curiosity to understand how different systems & processes work, and a bias for action to improve them
- Ability to work collaboratively with various cross-functional partners
- Highly motivated to find solutions and an ability to multi-task and maintain overall organization
- Strong communication skills
- Analytical experience (either through education or professional experience)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
