**JOB SUMMARY:

**QUALIFICATIONS:
Ÿ**

Must have a 2 year community college diploma in Health or Social Service Program Ÿ

Addictions Certificate or Diploma preferred, and/or a willingness to enroll and complete Addictions certificate or diploma Ÿ

A minimum of 2 years addiction and mental health related experience preferred Ÿ

Must have the ability to facilitate groups independently Ÿ

Current certificate or equivalent training in non-violent crisis intervention, CPR, and First Aid certification Ÿ

Advanced skills and experience providing a range of individual and group interventions for the age range of clients with substance and/or concurrent disorders in a treatment setting Ÿ

Exceptional crisis intervention and relapse prevention skills Ÿ

Working knowledge of pharmacology properties of illicit drugs and/or alcohol relevant to Withdrawal Management Ÿ

Demonstrates excellent assessment, observation, and motivational interviewing skills Ÿ

Knowledge of community agencies providing treatment and supportive care Ÿ

Proven organizational, prioritization, and problem solving skills Ÿ

Participate in team building, service development, and improvement activities Ÿ

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Ÿ

Excellent communication skills Ÿ

Demonstrates exceptional personal boundaries Ÿ

Good attendance record Ÿ

An understanding of professional ethics and limits of confidentiality
