**Qualifications**
- Ability to use SOLIDWORKS (mechanical CAD) effectively in the design work
- Applicable safety and ergonomics standards
- Knowledge of existing and emerging technologies in project management and mechanical design
- Familiar with product design
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in project management, mechanical design, mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position

**Job Duties**
- Responsible for projects from receipt of purchase order through final installation and final customer acceptance.
- The project coordinator will be involved in coordinating multiple projects.
- Key customer contact for assigned projects.
- Responsible for customer satisfaction. Maintain regular contact (verbal and written) with key customer representative(s) ensuring all key project events and issues are documented in writing. Ensure to populate an open issues list for all projects.
- Conduct initial project build plan meeting, project schedule creating, and weekly meeting updates on allocated project. Conduct regular team meetings and issue weekly project updates to the project teams. Communicate to all departments the level that the project has reach and what the expectation are for the coming week.
- Oversee the design scope of work and requested changes. Ensure that all work outside of initial agreed upon scope of work is communicated to internal sales and to the customer with a proposal for the change.
- Assists the sales department with preparing quotations and customer interaction.
- Leads the project team to execute projects on schedule, at or below budget delivering the contracted scope of work to all applicable codes and standards.
- Ensure purchased components are arriving on time.
- Ensure outside suppliers are delivering on time.
- Ensure each internal department is on time.
- Fill up outside contractor performance report.
- Manage project risks including:

- Communicate project deficiencies to program management and department management.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation plan.
- Preliminary PHSR approval.
- Final PHSR and ESA approval arrangement prior to shipping.
- Manage project resources. Ensures that adequate resources are assigned to all project tasks. Oversee project schedule development and identify all critical path activities.
- Visit suppliers to ensure they are staying on track with the projects.
- Source new suppliers for assisting in meeting the promised deliveries.
- Circulate the forms for different project milestones in between departments. Communicate billing milestones to accounting and provide the proper forms for invoicing.
- Create forms with the assistance and approval of upper management in an effort to streamline repetitive tasks.
- Keep track and update the SR&ED log for all projects with reports and description of the challenges that needed to be overcome.
