8:00am-4:00pm

4:00pm-12:00am

12:00am-8:00am

**Work Location: In** person.

**Expected Start Date**: March 11, 2024

**Duties**:

- Support the needs of the client the foster/mentor homes.
- Ensure safety plan is being followed and ensuring safety measures and followed.
- Assisting client with grocery shopping, preparing meals and chores within the home.
- Ensuring nightly bed checks are being documented every hour via shift notes on We-Schedule App.
- Promote behavioral change and personal growth of children and youth who are having difficulties coping because of social, emotional, physical, or cognitive delays.
- Support clients achieve their established goals using a strength-based approach.
- Initiates a variety of programming, related to the specific needs and goals of the client.
- Consults with case manager and foster parents.
- Attend meetings and appointments as it pertains to the client.
- Complete ‘End of Shift Report’ via We-Schedule at the end of each shift.
- Complete Incident Reports and submit them to Case Manager.
- Use of personal vehicles may be required on a case-by-case basis (use of personal vehicle will be to transport child or youth to access visits, appointment, and recreational programming).
- Providing crisis intervention support client.
- Attend plan of care meetings, health appointments and support access visits as needed

**Education and Training**:
Post Secondary Education such as diploma, certificate or degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Service Worker, Social Work, or related field

*Training in Crisis Intervention and Behavior Management will be provided*

**Knowledge and Skills**:
**Background Check**:
A valid Vulnerable Sectors Check is required for this position.
