**We are looking for a Receptionist to join our team in Lacombe, Alberta.**

The Receptionist will support the day-to-day operations of Viking Projects Ltd and Leif Services Ltd by providing support services to multiple departments while ensuring the reception duties are maintained. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for all those who enter the building or call in, the Receptionist must conduct themselves professionally and provide excellent customer service and assist customers, clients, and employees.

**Essential Functions**:
Administrative
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, directing visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries, managing timely pick ups for all outgoing shipments
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
- Order office supplies and keep inventory stock
- Update calendars and schedule meetings
- Manage the distribution of fuel cards for new hires
- Administration of various reward programs
- Schedules maintenance for fax and copier machines and assists users with trouble shoot support
- Maintain safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Update/revise and maintain Administrative Support procedures binders
- looking fo efficiencies and making recommendations on improvements as needed
- Collect and remove recycling and shredding
- Run errands and complete other odds and ends as required

Finance
- Updating Subcontractor and Employee WCB and Insurance
- Certificate of Insurance for Vehicles Hired On
- General Liability Insurance for Independent Contractors
- WCB Coverage for Independent Contractors

Quality Control Support
- Scan QC for job completion

Estimating Support
- Creating specific bid documents for estimating
- support the collection and follow up on bid information from other departments

Equipment Support
- Work Order Entries
- Fleet Complete Schedules

HR Support
- Support Benefits Administration enrollments

This role is expected to react to changes and take on additional tasks/projects as required

**Working conditions**

Office setting, Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM

Significant amount of time sitting working at a computer and answering phones

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Very organized
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Practices excellent time management

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as required
- Ability to keep company confidences
- Ability to learn new software programs

**Education and Experience (minimum qualifications)**
- Minimum of 2 years Reception Experience (or related experience)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in SharePoint
