Collision Repair Technician

The body technician is responsible for increasing the efficiency of the store by ensuring quick and thorough repairs while in compliance with MPI and manufacturer standards. You should be able to work comfortably from start to finish of the repair process by dismantling the vehicle, identification/installation of parts, labour time management, and reassembly. You need to read and understand the estimate to ensure that parts being utilized are a mirror match to what is being replaced, and be able to communicate any discrepancies with management. Daily production meetings assist with ensuring the key information is communicated regarding jobs in the shop.
**Responsibilities**:
- Following an estimate as established by MPI for repairs
- Repairing collision/damaged vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Responsible for performing repair on vehicles
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- 1+ years of collision repair experience in a production body shop or equivalent training/schooling experience
- Structural welding certification
- I-CAR training
- Knowledge with Mitchell Connect/Repair Center/MPI standards
- Work independently without close supervision
- Works well with others & positive work ethic
- Flexible/adaptable to constant change
- Highly organized; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments
- Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work under own initiative
- Strong communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening)
- Motivated and follows instructions
- Works well under pressure
- High production capabilities
- Ability to work safely

Pay: $21.33-$31.00 per hour

**Experience**:
- auto body repair: 1 year (preferred)

- Apprenticeship MB Registration (preferred)
