Peaskie Minerals is a premier supplier of domestically sourced proppants and silica flour to the West Central Sedimentary Basin (WCSB). **Our facility is located approximately 12 km north of Redwater or a 45-minute drive from north Edmonton.**
**Position**: Loader Operator
**Terms of Employment**: Full Time, Seasonal
**Rate**: $31.73/hourly - $37.03/hourly, Overtime after 8 hours per day
**Schedule**: 7 days on / 7 days off - rotating between days and nights - 12 hours per day

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
- Understand and follow directions from supervisors as required to work area
- Operate Loader controls to lower and tilt bucket and drive forward to force bucket into bulk material; move lever to raise and tilt bucket when filled, or dump material
- Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance
- Operate loader on public or private roadways, maintaining proper awareness of ones’ surroundings
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Loader
- Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Loader
- Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required
**Education & Training**
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license
**Pre-Employment Screening**
- Drug and Alcohol testing
- Audiometry
- Criminal Record Check
- Clean/Acceptable Driver Abstract

Pay: $31.73-$37.03 per hour
