**Purpose**
The Manager, New Customer Acquisition
- Segments is an exciting opportunity within the Retail Customer Growth team to drive the acquisition of key growth segments for the bank, primarily Students, both International and Domestic.
This role supports the Senior Manager, New Customer Acquisition
- Segments and plays a critical role in achieving the banks ambitious customer growth goals, helping translate sales and engagement targets into impactful, multi
- channel customer marketing and sales programs. This role has strong accountability and ownership of specific initiatives that leverage customer research and bank strategy to bring impactful marketing and sales programs to market.
Working closely with stakeholders from product and strategy, this individual is point on go-to
- market execution, collaborating with partners from core marketing, digital marketing, analytics and the channels. This individual closely monitors program performance to actively materialize opportunities and close gaps and share progress with key partners.
All business strategies and plans will be built and executed in compliance with governing regulations and internal policies and procedures.
**Accountabilities**
- Works in and supports a customer focused culture within the team, leveraging broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge and using best in class, customer first strategies.
- Supports the vision for effective new customer acquisition, inclusive of mass and strategic customer segments and supported by clear acquisition, engagement (usage + cross-sell) and retention KPIs.
- Leads the design, flawless execution, and ongoing optimization of customer acquisition programs in support of achieving target revenue and profitability objectives for the Retail Products Portfolio (Chequing, Savings, Credit Cards, Unsecured Lending and Insurance)
- Leverages research, past campaign performance, data insights and emerging customer trends to create programs and deliver high impact customer acquisition, onboarding and deepen customer relationships through needs based cross sell and engagement strategies.
- Supports the Senior Manager and Director leading the strategic go-to
- market approach to capture new customer market share, aligning stakeholders on approach and working closely with partners across the bank to achieve seamless execution.
- Works with Marketing partners to use both offline (branch and customer contact center) and digital (owned assets and paid) to create omni-channel customer experiences that provide broad coverage of customer segments and create a seamless customer journey into the bank.
- Actively manages program budgets, working with finance analytics to ensure accuracy across forecasting and spend.
- Works closely with channel partners to optimize return on investment and marketing dollars to achieve targets by performing necessary analysis, test/learn, creating sound business justification for targeted investment.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
**Education / Experience / Other Information**
- Several years of experience, including in Product Management, Take to Market Execution, Marketing or Branch Frontline.
- Ambitious attitude towards achieving sales and marketing targets
- Understanding of Retail Products financials and P&L levers
- Strong strategic thinking, customer centricity and results focus skills
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to lead a cross
- functional team to drive desired outcomes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
