**Compensation: $53,352-$66,690 (commensurate with experience)**

University Health Network (UHN) is looking for an experienced professional to fill the key role of Financial Analyst I in our Research Financial Services Department.

As an integral member of the Grant Operations team within the RFS department, the **Financial Analyst I** performs a range of detailed accounting activities and advisory functions requiring sound professional judgment to ensure day-to-day operations are carried out in accordance with the established accounting principles and institutional policies for UHN Foundation funded research accounts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely and independently with individual researchers, their support staff and the Foundation group to facilitate the administration of Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation funded research accounts
- Prepare monthly financial invoices for research accounts within the growing portfolio
- Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis to assist with forecasting
- Perform cross-functional duties and other duties consistent with the job classification, as required

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- At a minimum, Community college diploma (three years) in Accounting/Finance or equivalent program
- Two (2) years of related experience in an accounting environment with exposure to a range of basic accounting practices, procedures and principles
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent client service and satisfaction
- Skill in performing detailed numerical computations and accurate data entry
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with strong organization and time management skills
- Sound professional judgment, initiative, and the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Experience with Grant accounting preferred
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
