Spray Lake Sawmills Centre (SLSC) is a leading-edge sport and recreational facility encompassing 325,000 square feet, including an aquatic centre, four arenas and a curling centre, fitness & climbing facilities, an indoor turf, track, and gymnasium, and is home to several third-party tenants. **About the Position**
Your primary purpose is to ensure the clean, safe and efficient operations of Spray Lake Sawmills Centre as it relates to the aquatic center, fieldhouse stands, dressing rooms, washrooms, and all common and public spaces inside and outside of the building. This is a tough but rewarding physical job, which includes deep cleaning and working within view of our public, users, and patrons, with an emphasis on consistency.

**Job Type**:Part-time, Hourly (approximately 24 hours/week)
**Shift Schedule**: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday (3:30pm - 12:00am)

**Specific responsibilities**:

- Responsible for cleaning, sanitation, and disinfection as required to operate the facility, as well as event/booking set-up and take-down.
- Responsible for the housekeeping of all public spaces (washrooms and locker rooms, multi - use rooms, hallways and grounds).
- Daily inspection of relevant equipment, machinery, and supply inventory; keeping storage/mechanical spaces tidy and safe; reporting equipment or supply concerns.
- Interact and communicate effectively and respectfully with your immediate supervisor, co-workers, employees, and customers.
- Always maintain a professional and customer friendly appearance and demeanor.
- To carry a communication device at all times and be available to respond to emergency situations as required, checking in with Guest Services on a frequent basis.
- Perform all work with proper safety procedures in mind to ensure a safe environment for the individual themselves and the general building population.

**Qualifications**:

- Custodial experience is a preferred asset
- Hardworking, strong work ethic, and maturity is required for success in this position
- Dedicated to ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment
- Ability to get results, meet timelines, be proactive with a friendly customer-focused approach
- Strong teamwork and reliability; able to easily and respectfully work with others
- WHIMS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certification or willing to obtain
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
- A Criminal Record Check is required immediately upon hire
- Ability to read, write, and accurately follow verbal AND written instructions in English
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job including standing/walking for an extended period of time, lifting, twisting, and performing repetitive motions involved with commercial cleaning
