**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, Dredging & Dewatering. Additionally, will report to the Site Lead/Supervisor on a project by project basis. The General Labourer is responsible for day-to-day duties on site needed to complete work in a safe and timely fashion and maintain a clean work site.

We are currently hiring for seasonal, temporary and full time positions.

**Responsibilities**:
**Safety**
- Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, hazard identification, near miss and incident reporting, procedures and safety analysis, and other attachments, tower sheets, etc;
- Participates in; monitoring process, levels, temperatures, pressures and flows for applicable processes and systems in a safe and efficient manner;
- Ensures that required documentation is legible, accurate and completed on a timely basis daily;
- Acquires and maintains all certifications as required (H2S Awareness, Mobile Equipment, Etc.);
- Consistently upholds Secure Energy Values and Safety Absolutes when representing the company;
- This position requires the employee to be clean shaven daily for respirator use as needed;
- Follow Preventative Maintenance Inspection Programs and complete related tasks;
**Labour Duties**
- Conduct tasks for the Lead/Supervisor to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the project.
- Task may include, but not limited to: pulling cables, laying out hoses and liners, placing dunnage, participate in repairs, safety watch, turfing of dredge, and dredge process commissioning, participating in sampling and testing, mixing flocculant, carrying bags, monitoring tank levels, etc.
- Proficient with two-way radio communications
- Participate with Preventative Maintenance Inspection programs and complete related tasks
- Maintain high level of housekeeping
- Ability to work well with others and communicate concerns and praise as suitable
- Mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and other troubleshooting knowledge is an asset
- Experience with most power and small tools, is considered an asset
- Ensures that all equipment and systems are being operated to Secure Energy standards;
- Contributes in troubleshooting and repair activities as needed;
- Maintains safe and clean equipment and general work area;
- Ability to perform physical tasks safely and duties include but not limited to shoveling, moving equipment, housekeeping requirements; Assist/lead team with rigging up and tearing out process (i.e. traverse and turfer cables, slurry piping, process hoses, set up of dewatering process, run power cables, servicing of engines, mobilize-demobilize and spotting of equipment, working with cranes and winch trucks, etc.)
- Assists/completes clean, lubricate and fuel all equipment and general site housekeeping such as digging, sweeping, monitoring, sampling and spotting for trucks
- Responsible for being engaged in a combination of routine and complex equipment operation, preventative maintenance and manual labor;
- Ensure slip tanks in pickup are always full when required;
- Contributes with daily pre-& post-operational checks on equipment & document in equipment logs

**Qualifications**:

- 1-2 years of various industry experience;
- High school diploma or equivalent required with previous experience;
- Minimum valid Class 5 Driver's license;
- Ability to operate the excavator for project support, including pallets, drilling tubulars, and waste loading is an asset;
- Experience working with Microsoft Office and other computer systems;
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting a minimum of 55lbs, working in confined spaces, standing for an extended period of time, frequent use of ladders and working at heights
- Must be willing to workday & night shifts, up to 12 hours in duration, along with the possibility of assigned on-call shifts and/or additional overtime when deemed necessary
- Proficient with two-way radio communications;
- Mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and other troubleshooting knowledge is an asset
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently;
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills are required;
- Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize activities;
- Ability to work in all weather conditions including extreme heat or cold depending on location;
