**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Director, Quality, Patient Safety and Experience, the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) performs procedural duties relating to the provision of safe surgical equipment. The MDRT is responsible for the retrieval, disassembly, decontamination, inspection, function testing, assembly, packaging, sterilization, handling, storage and distribution of reprocessed hospital patient care equipment and surgical instrumentation as well as the documentation of all processes. These duties are carried out in adherence to Canadian Standards Association (CSA), manufacturer’s instructions for use (MIFU'S), departmental policies and procedures, departmental Standard Operational Procedures (SOP's) and standards/best practice guidelines for infection prevention and control.

**Hours of Work**:
All shifts as per rotation (24/7 environment)

**Your Qualifications**:

- Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Successful completion of a recognized MDR Technician’s course required; OR willingness to obtain and complete within 18 months of hire.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Previous sterile processing experience preferred.
- MDR Certification preferred.
- Operating Room and/or laparoscopy instrumentation/cidex OPA scope processing experience an asset.
- Responsible, dependable, able to take initiative, and sound decision-making skills required.
- Ability to work independently without supervision required.
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment.
- Competency in other languages an asset; French preferred.
