We are looking for a Manager to join our Sources Overdose Prevention and Peer Support Services team This individual must be compassionate, collaborative and a champion of harm reduction principles.

Sources Overdose Prevention and Peer Support Services
Reporting to the Executive Director of Community Services the Manager of Overdose Prevention and Peer Support Services is a permanent employee of Sources Community Resources, developing program, hiring and training staff, and managing the provision of harm reduction supports, supplies and information to people who use substances.
The Manager of Overdose Prevention and Peer Support Services will have the opportunity to bring two new programs to the White Rock/South Surrey community that will make a difference in saving lives and providing connection to people who have experienced significant vulnerability and marginalization. The manager develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates the program policies, procedures and practices of both the Overdose Prevention Services in collaboration with Fraser Health and the Peer Support Network and Outreach Services. The manager is responsible for hiring dismissal, discipline, and performance evaluation of direct services staff. The position also provides support and direction for program support workers, ensuring that program mandate, policies and procedures are followed. The Manager promotes the interests of people who use substances to enhance access to the support of peers, health care and social services.
The Manager of Overdose Prevention and Peer Support Services is responsible for recruitment and support of staff serving the OPS site on Peace Arch Hospital campus as well as the recruitment and support of a Peer Coordinator who will then recruit and support a peer, honorarium and contract-based team to provide Peer Support and Outreach to the WR/SS community. The manager works closely with other Sources programs and services in White Rock/South Surrey community and will work particularly closely with members of Sources Operations and administrative staff.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and participate in the daily operations of both the Overdose Prevention Services and Peer Support Network and Outreach Services.
- In accordance with the Program Operations Manual, the manager guides overdose prevention, harm reduction and peer support activities and program interface within Sources, Fraser Health and the community of White Rock/South Surrey.
- In consultation with the Tides of Change Overdose Community Action Team, engage people with lived and living experience in reducing stigma related to substance use bringing awareness of harm reduction and prevention of toxic drug poisoning to the community.
- Perform scheduling functions for both programs, including ensuring staff and peer shifts are filled, approving payroll and maintaining and submitting all information to ensure honorarium payments are processed and accounted for
- Order harm reduction supplies and ensure each shift is equipped to provide supplies and food to vulnerable populations.
- Work with service partners and other external service providers to ensure the programs are impactful, coordinated and integrated with the larger continuums of care, including integration between the OPS and the Peer Support Network
- Ensure safe and effective operations at various drop in peer support locations
- Promote the interest of drug users and the program with systems of care, external service partners, and community resources.
- When necessary will need to perform job duties of the onsite OPS workers and Peer Coordinators

**Peer Support Network and Outreach Responsibilities**:

- Support the Peer Coordinators who will facilitate the Peer Support Network Meetings and lead the Peer Outreach Team to distribute food and harm reduction supplies and connect with people using substances in the community
