**Job description**

Join our five-star luxury hotel downtown Toronto as our enthusiastic **Valet/Doorman**. In this key role, you will be responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner; assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up of guest luggage during arrival and departure.

**Requirements**:
*Hold a valid Ontario driver's license, including a clean driving record.

*Ability to operate manual and automatic vehicles.

*Must always stand at/by the hotel doors and/or curbside to greet and welcome all hotel guests.

*Must always greet guests appropriately upon arrival in a warm and friendly manner and provide a professional and guest focused service to all guests that enter the hotel.

*Open vehicle doors for arriving and departing guests and escort them into the lobby as needed.

*Is knowledgeable and can answer any questions about the vicinity and neighborhood.

*Unload and load guest luggage, bags, boxes, etc. Coordinate with the butler on duty.

*Coordinate all information with the Front Desk pertaining to the guest and their movements.

*Keep the entrance and sidewalk clean and clear of debris; control the flow of cars stationed curbside. During slower times, clean and wipe entrance glass doors.

*Assist guests with directions, hotel information, local events, and any minor issues in a professional manner.

Abilities:
*Must have fingers, hand, and upper body dexterity to grasp handles, carry bags and lift packages.

*Must have upper body strength to continually lift and carry up to 30 lbs. throughout the hotel during entire shift.
- Ability to multitask and be a team player with each and every department in the hotel depending on the business needs.
- Shoveling snow during the winter.

Material/Equipment Used:
*Four-wheeled luggage carts, standard office equipment.

Environment:
Physically strenuous, prolonged standing, intermittent exposure to outside elements.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25.00 per week

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
