Are you passionate about cutting-edge vehicles and IoT solutions? Do you enjoy validating products, testing, and installations in vehicles? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Validation Technician to join our agile team.
In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the validation of our new products, ensuring product quality, from testing and installing, to collecting and analyzing vehicle CAN Bus data. Our solutions include in-car devices, smartphone apps, web apps, and backend systems. You will play an active role in continuously improving our software, processes, and working environment. You will also be called upon working in our research facility and in our local automobile dealerships, located in the greater Montréal.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Building strong relationships with local automobile dealerships
- Validating the core Voxx product (software and hardware) in vehicles
- Reviewing and correcting installation guides prior to publishing
- Supporting the development of new products and troubleshooting issues on current products
- Providing information on problems encountered with products and investigating them
- Updating or creating test plans as required
- Installing Voxx products into vehicles and collecting relevant data, such as wiring and connector identification, serial communications logs, voltages and currents.
- Take photographs and create diagrams of connections
- Preparing, creating, and correcting technical materials
**To be successful in this role, you must have**:
- Over 5 years of experience installing remote starters or alarm systems in vehicles
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ideally some experience with developing harnesses for systems in vehicles
- A professional diploma (DEP) or college diploma (DEC/ADC) in an appropriate discipline
- A valid driver's license
- Excellent communication skills in French and English (spoken and written)
- Experience with 12V trends and new technologies
- Understanding of electronic vehicle diagrams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in using vehicle diagnostic tools and equipment.
- A Mobile Electronics Certification Program (MECP) certification is an asset
