We are seeking an OTA/PTA to provide services across the Rehabilitation Program.

The OTA/PTA would be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of patient treatment programs established or collaborated with by the Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist. In addition, the OTA/PTA would be involved in the Locomotor Training Program.

**Essential Qualifications**
- Current Physiotherapy Assistant and Occupational Therapy Assistant diplomas or dual OTA/PTA diploma from a recognized program that includes a placement component in each discipline
- Demonstrated knowledge of neurological conditions with an understanding of its consequences
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, physical and cognitive disabilities and their potential and their impact on performance
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Experience with specialized occupational therapy and physiotherapy related tasks, such as handling of patients for mobility training, transfers and positioning, monitoring ADL's, handling wheelchair and seating components as well as orthotics
- Demonstrated interest in and comfort with technology such as robotics and computers
- Excellent communication skills with patients, family, volunteers, and other members of the care team
- Able to work in an interdisciplinary team environment
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position (eg. Lifts and transfers, able to assist the therapists with the physical treatment techniques)
- Able to utilize computer systems (eg. Cerner, Outlook 2010, MSWord, MS Excel)
- Keen observational skills
- Able to work independently and be self-directed
- Proven flexibility and a high level of initiative

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Proficiency in French would be an asset
- Clinical experience and knowledge of the treatment of clients with neurological injuries
- Experience with Hydrotherapy
- Able to independently carry out individualized exercise programs outlined by therapist

**Immunization Requirements**
- Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and a written commitment to follow any future Public Health recommendations and St. Joseph's Health Care London policies and processes related to Covid management in the workplace.
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
