**PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR**
**AJAX, ON - PLANT**

As a member of the operations team, the production supervisor will be responsible for supervision of manufacturing personnel and operation, assuring that quality, safety, productivity, schedule, and delivery goals are met daily. Ensure production employees have the necessary training, tools, and equipment to perform a quality job within allotted time periods.

**The Role**:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:

- Improve Quality performance through decreased scrap and defects
- Planning and scheduling production activities and supervising the production process.
- Supervising line employees including counseling and disciplining, when necessary.
- Handles quality and safety concerns related to production.
- Works with other departments to prevent any probable delay in production and effectively execute the policies and goals of the organization.
- Prepares various reports and paperwork.
- Ensures compliance with the following legislation: OHSA, WSIB, Human Rights, Employment Standards, and Labour Relations.
- Uses and or wears personal protective equipment that the company requires to be used or worn.
- Performs any other duties as required in pursuance to the function of this position or as directed.
- Works safely, reporting hazards and unsafe conditions, and takes all reasonable measures to protect themselves, co-workers, and direct reports.
- Recognizing and understanding the requirements of our internal and external customers and is dedicated to establishing the highest industry standards for quality, value, service & technology.
- Ensures and understands compliance with harassment within the workplace towards others in the organization.

**Your Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma
- Post-Secondary Education or Experiential Equivalency preferred.
- 5-7 years’ experience in the Production Department within the manufacturing/automotive industry including supervisor responsibility preferred.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Planning and Organization skills.
- Time Management and Prioritization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- High attention to detail.
