Vancouver, Canada Ballard Power Systems Inc. Full time

**Responsibilities**
- Use approved equipment and procedures to perform incoming inspection on materials and parts against established specifications and control plans
- Enter inspection data into an integrated plant system database to generate internal lot numbers and inspection reports
- Organize and maintain quality control records and files
- Identify, segregate and report on non-conforming parts and materials to the appropriate design authority and the Supply Chain team, including creating Non-Conformance Report
- Use calibrated measuring and test equipment and provide notification when equipment is out of calibration or damaged
- Complete in-process quality verification of raw materials as specified in control plans
- Complete quarterly verification of inventory in the inspection location and liaise with the Materials Management team
- Work with engineers and Quality Technologists to conduct first article inspections for new products and help to develop IQC Control Plans
- Liaise with other members in the organization on issues related to the quality of parts and materials
- Update shared master spreadsheet on parts status
- Contribute to a high-performance work team environment

**Requirements**:

- Directly related experience working in quality control within a manufacturing environment an asset
- High School Diploma or post-secondary technical education
- Quality Management training an asset
- Ability to read control plans and engineering drawings
- Demonstrated ability to use basic metrology instruments and measure tolerances
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with statistical data analysis
- Experience using Word and Excel and a document control system such as Agile
