**What you’ll do**
- Provide regular feedback on the quality of the transportation plan, and suggest improvements.
- Establish and maintain good working relationship with third party carriers while ensuring desired service is provided at lowest cost.
- Analyze key performance indicators to identify areas of concern, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to rectify them.
- Proactively work with stakeholders to ensure carrier capacity is available to support the operational demand for the successful execution of all shipments including inbound, outbound, Dealer returns and ad-hoc requests.
- Provide feedback to the development of GDAP template based on rail service offering and barge operations.
- Maintain current knowledge of Canadian transportation acts and regulations, including transportation of dangerous goods

**What you bring**
- Post-Secondary education in Business, Logistics or Engineering
- Transportation industry experience.
- A general understanding of the Highway Traffic Act; Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
- Good knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) for example, JDA or Oracle.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (e.g. Macros, Pivot Tables) and Access (e.g. Macros, Queries, Reporting) skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Must excel in a team environment, comfortable making objective decisions on the fly.
- Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast paced, challenging environment with a great deal of autonomy.
- Ability to work with complex and evolving systems and extensive and varied data.
