**Work Status**: Temporary Contract - 6 Month Contract

**Location**: Burnaby, BC (Onsite)

**About the Role**:
**You will be working on things like**:

- Ability to work independently, gather all pertinent visuals and interviews for production of news segments as well as operate as live camera for both TV and online;
- Ability to edit news stories, features, and clips;
- Gather video for all platforms in the Global News Divisions;
- Familiarity with Dejero technology, both broadcast and iPhone delivery;
- Ability to edit and write abstracts for material gathered in the field to publish on all online platforms;
- Ability to effectively communicate with reporters, the public, and the newsroom;
- Meet the physical demands of News gathering in the field (carrying camera equipment, tripods, etc.)
- Other duties as required.

If you have the following we want to hear from you
- Post-secondary education in Broadcast Technology or related field;
- 3-5 years’ experience as a camera operator with excellent camera skills;
- Possess a valid driver’s license (abstract will be required);
- Willingness to adapt to rapidly changing technology and new online skills in a multi-faceted digital news operation;
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, effectively, and cooperatively in a team environment;
- Remote microwave transmission knowledge is considered to be an asset.
