Lead Audio Visual Technician

The Lead Audio Visual Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting and servicing audio visual systems in connection with the Fantasyland Hotel banquet and conference rooms. The Lead Audio Visual Technician will work in a unique and dynamic environment handling a variety of corporate events, weddings, holiday gatherings and more.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Acting as a leader, mentor and coach for other technicians.
- Responsible for accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment.
- Troubleshooting technical issues and resolve problems quickly.
- Ensuring equipment is secure from theft and/or damage when in use.
- Providing excellent service and striving to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
- Meeting with guests on site to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly.
- Monitoring events and checking in on customers throughout the day.
- An understanding of the technical aspects of the job and demonstrating advanced operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues.
- Anticipating equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
- Using the equipment sheets to determine the equipment scheduled for set up and for strike.
- Other duties as required.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- 2-3 years of experience handling audio and visual equipment in a similar role, with demonstrated working knowledge of AV practices and procedures.
- Excellent customer communication skills.
- Creative approach to finding solutions for clients.
- Collaborative in working closely with the Manager of Event Technology.

**Terms of Employment**:

- This is a full-time position that requires flexible availability Monday through Sunday including days, evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour
