The primary purpose and objective of the Global Security and Technology Security Specialist includes planning and organizing security programs to safeguard personnel, premises, assets, and interests. Core responsibilities will include the strategic planning, implementation, and upkeep of Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Systems, encompassing both new facility deployments both on the Capital funding side and enhancements to existing sites through Operations and Maintenance area. This position requires a robust technical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding a secure and efficient workplace environment.

What You Get To Do:

- Collaborate on the refinement and execution of a robust security strategy aligned with both ATCO Technology and Global Security standards and industry standards, requirements, and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal business to seamlessly integrate security principles into infrastructure projects and security upgrades.
- Working with internal Business Units, assist to develop budgeting goals and reconcile monthly invoicing from external vendors.
- Perform Security Systems Studies, Conceptual Design Narratives, Schematic Design, Detailed Design, Construction Documents, Tender Review, Project Management, Construction Administration and Project Closeout.
- Research, evaluate and provide recommendations for security systems, technologies, and services to build and augment ATCO’s security footprint.
- Develop, administer and maintain security systems maintenance programs.
- Manage and maintain a detailed accounting of security systems and solutions and maintain site documentation.
- Maintain effective relationships with law enforcement, corporate security colleagues in other companies, and other outside government agencies.
- Work in partnership with other team members to respond to security incidents and breaches effectively.
- Collaborate with other team members on security incident response planning and develop best practices for all business units.
- Analyze trends, scope and manage large-scale projects.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to proactively identify potential threats and weaknesses in our systems.
- Implement effective risk mitigation measures and ensure adherence to ATCO’s security policies and procedures.
- Plan, develop, communicate, and maintain security documentation, practices and procedures of common technical inquiries and operational documentation.
- Represent the Technology and Global Security on internal and external committees promoting best practices and sharing information.
- Assist in the development, promotion and delivery of Technology and Global Security’s awareness and training programs for employees to enhance and promote a security culture.
- Promote a shared sense of responsibility for security across the organization.

Who You Are:

- A College diploma in Electronics is preferred along with 7 - 10 year of relatable experience.
- Relevant security certifications including PMP, CPP, PSP, CTM, CPTED, CISSP, CSSA are considered assets.
- Strong knowledge of both existing and emerging security threats and knowledge of mitigation best practices for them.
- Demonstrated experience in executing security initiatives and implementing security controls.
- Business management skills, reflecting adherence to an approved operating budget, creativity in problem-solving, and justifying programs/recommendations based on sound business cases.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; both written and oral.
- Proficient in researching, developing and facilitation of security awareness, seminars, and training.
- Conscientious self-starter who is customer-service oriented, needs mínimal supervision, enjoys working in a team environment, and can cope effectively under pressure.
- Ability to deal successfully with all levels of internal and external staff, management, executive, and the public.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, and working knowledge of PowerPoint.
- Strong research and information sourcing skills
- Familiarity with the following security systems is considered an asset: Avigilon, Axis, Lenel, Meraki, IP camera systems, PA and intercom systems, client server systems and networks, database administrations such as SQL and Biometrics access control. (Product - specific certifications are preferred)
- Experience in Technology and Global Security planning and operational execution with exposure to international locations would be an asset.
- Must be willing to travel periodically and as required for project assignment
