**Role Description**
This is a full-time Constituency Assistant role at Laurie Scott MPP - Constituency Office located in Lindsay, ON. As a Constituency Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the office and work closely with the MPP and other office staff to manage the day-to-day operations of the office. This role involves interacting with constituents, taking phone calls, responding to inquiries, and prioritizing appointments and events for the MPP.
**Qualifications**
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to interact with constituents and government Ministries diplomatically and effectively
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
- Detail oriented
- Able to multi-task and manage projects and time efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Strong time-management ability
- Confidently handle requests from multiple sources and determines the appropriate course of action and priority
**Experience/Education**
- Demonstrated interest and/or experience in politics or public service is an asset
- High school diploma or equivalent required, post-secondary education is an asset
- Knowledge of municipal, provincial, and federal government is beneficial

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
