One of our automotive clients is looking for a **Production Manager (E-Coat) **in **Cambridge, ON **for their facility.

**Shift**:Day

**Responsibilities**

- Ensure a secure work environment, safeguarding the well-being of all staff members.
- Verify that supervisors and their teams are proficient in performing tasks efficiently and are well-versed in the correct and safe operation of equipment and handling of chemicals.
- Supervise the development and upkeep of all e-coat tooling.
- Establish key performance indicators and targets for the coatings department.
- Lead and oversee the activities of all coatings personnel.
- Establish a comprehensive preventative maintenance strategy and work towards implementing a "predictive maintenance plan" for both the e-coat system and the waste water treatment system.
- Formulate skill assessments, and strategize and implement employee development and training programs to enable them to excel in their roles.
- Offer precise and detailed performance feedback and evaluate the effectiveness of performance during annual developmental reviews.
- Monitor and evaluate departmental outcomes, expenses, and product quality.
- Coordinate system maintenance schedules with Production and Materials personnel to meet customer, health and safety, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with production superintendents/supervisors to ensure efficient utilization of materials, equipment, and employees.
- Legislation, as well as comply with the collective Agreement and Company policiesand procedures.
- Demonstrate leadership in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes.
- Conduct workplace inspections, layered audits, and review maintained reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate maintenance resources necessary to ensure uninterrupted performance of
- Waste Water Treatment and E-coat processes, as well as other production requirements.
- Conduct information sessions (safety talks, staff meetings), incident investigations, and employee training.
- Address substandard acts or conditions promptly.
- Conduct employee safety observations and commend exemplary health and safety performance.
- Provide or arrange coverage for Solutions Maintenance Technicians and Waste Water personnel.

**Qualifications**

- Possession of post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- 5 + years of management experience in a automotive paint and plating shop operations, etc.
- Expertise in customer shipping specifications, inventory management, production scheduling, engineering protocols/systems, and the utilization of plant raw materials.
- Competence in Microsoft and other manufacturing-related software.
- Knowledgeable about Health & Safety legislation and experienced in administering collective agreements.
