Early Childhood Educator

Fort Saskatchewan, Canada The Little Masterminds Learning Centre Full time

**Duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Support children's emotional and social development
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child’s needs
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience
- Maintain accurate records of each child’s progress and development
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns
- Demonstrate a knowledge of childhood development, able to properly meet the physical, emotional, and mental needs of children every day
- Maintain full compliance with the Child Care Licensing Regulations
- Maintain confidentiality
- Model for children through leading by example, showing and assisting (ex. Manners, respect, how to do things like putting on coats/shoes)
- Change diapers, assist in potty training
- Encourage children to try, learn and master age appropriate tasks
- Do opening/closing cleaning duties
- Mop floors, clean and disinfect tables and chairs, toys, water bottles

**Requirements**:

- Early Childhood Education Certificate (Level 2 or 3)
- Current First Aid with infant CPR
- Current criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector check
