Shipper/receiver

We are a manufacturer of greenhouse systems distributed across North America. We are seeking a Shipping and Production Team Member.

This position picks and packs greenhouse parts from a pick list, records part counts and receives incoming material.

You must be forklift certified, and be comfortable loading and unloading flat bed trucks.

We are located in Vineland - just outside Grimsby Ontario.

**Responsibilities**:

- Pick, pack and bundle parts in accordance with sales orders, and pick lists.
- Complete and return applicable documents such as signed delivery slips, packing slips to shipping/receiving department.
- Check materials received against documentation for accuracy and note any discrepancies.
- Place and store received material safely in designated locations.
- Receive, sort and record galvanized parts brought in - in bulk.
- Unload materials from inbound trucks.
- Load customer’s orders onto outbound trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Provide inventory counts as needed.
- Perform vehicle inspections and complete and required documentation.
- Deliver orders to customers and ensure correct documents are supplied to and collected from the customer.
- If shipping is not as busy - the position will also be expected to work on machinery in our manufacturing facility - processing work orders.

**Work Experience**:

- At least 2 years of shipping experience in a custom/job shop environment (structural steel experience an asset).

**Education and Skills**:

- Heavy strength demand capable of lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Able to read drawings.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to organize own work effectively, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Motivated and able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Frequent standing, bending, and lifting of heavy raw materials.

Required license or certification:

- Drivers License G
- Fork lift certification

**Salary**: $21.50 per hour
