This position currently requires shift work on a 14 on 7 off rotation.

VI Tree Service Ltd is a Utility Residential-Commercial based tree services currently providing services through out Western Canada and the Yukon.

**Job Duties**

Directly reporting the Crew Foreman, the Flagger or Lane Control Technician (LCT) will be responsible for safely controlling the flow of traffic around various work sites.

**Flagger**:

- Directing the flow of traffic around active worksites using a variety of tools including signs and 2-way radios.
- Following the traffic control plan as written and communicated by the Site Supervisor, Crew Foreperson, or LCT.
- Communicating with Site Supervisors and other Flagger’s to ensure traffic is flowing efficiently and with as mínimal disruption as possible.
- Interacting with pedestrians and motorists, as needed.
- Working at multiple locations and under a variety of weather conditions.
- Other duties, as required.

**Lane Control Technician (LCT)**:

- Safely setting up and tearing down worksites
- Protecting your team and clients with safety at the forefront all the time
- Directing other TCP’s on-site
- Filling out and signing off on pre-job paperwork, including FLRA’s and TMP’s
- Communicating clearly with drivers, crews on-site and fellow traffic control personnel

**Qualifications**

**Flagger**:

- A valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to multiple sites.
- Must have valid TCP ticket (preferred)
- Previous experience as a Flagger / Traffic Control Person (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as a part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A safety conscious demeanor and willingness to adhere to company safety policies, practices, and procedures.

**LCT**:

- Experience as a Flagger or LCT
- Valid BCCSA Traffic Control Ticket with a BC Class 5 License
- Understand and implement TMPs
- Traffic Control Trainers & Consulting
- First aid (asset but not requirement)
- Safety CSO ticket (asset but not a requirement)
- Strong Work Ethic with focus on safety
- Ability to work in all weather conditions

**Additional Information**
- $20 - $28 / hour
- Full time.
- Occasional overtime required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
