Accounting Technician

Edmonton, Canada MAGGO & ASSOCIATES INC Full time

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper to join our team on a Full-time basis from Monday to Friday. This position maintains proper accounting records by accurately and efficiently computing, classifying, preparing, recording, and verifying financial data.

Mandatory Requirements and Skills

- Must be a Team player
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Ability to prioritize and stay organized.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reconcile accounts
- Post journal entries
- Calculate and prepare payroll
- Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor (i.e., filing, assisting vendors, clients or customers with questions relating to accounts, procedures, and services, etc.).

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Fast-paced environment
- Work under pressure

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting or related fields preferred
- Experience in QuickBooks preferred
- Ability to perform repetitive data entry tasks, manual dexterity
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.

**Salary**:

- Based on your experience.

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edmonton, AB T6X2N4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
